4 New Varieties of Forestry Plants Follow Substantive Assessment (BUSS Test)

[FORDA] _Four new varieties of forestry plants from the Center for Research and Development of Biotechnology and Forest Plant Breeding (B2P2BPTH) Yogyakarta are currently following substantive assessment or the BUSS test (Novelty, Uniqueness, Homogeneousness and Stability). Testing was carried out by the BUSS Inspection Team from the Plant Variety Protection and Agricultural Licensing Center (PPVTPP), Secretariat General of the Ministry of Agriculture, in the end of March 2021.

Kumpang Wood Pyrolysis Produces the Best Quality Charcoal

[FORDA] _The pyrolysis process of kumpang (Albizia sp) produces the best quality of charcoal, out of 5 unknown wood species from West Kalimantan which were studied by Efiyanti, et al. The findings were published in the Journal of Forest Products Research Volume 38 Number 1 of 2020.
